1. Who we are
Meds2Take is a medication tracking app for individuals and families, offered by Corcam Solutions LLC, a Texas limited liability company ("Meds2Take", "we", "us"). This policy covers the Meds2Take website at meds2take.com, the Meds2Take web app, and any Meds2Take mobile apps (together, the "Service").
2. What we collect and where it lives
| Information | Where it is stored | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Your medicine records: people you add, conditions, medicines, doses, schedules, refills, dose history, side effects and emergency details | In a private app folder in your own Google Drive, plus a working copy on your device. If you have not connected Drive, only on your device. | To show and back up your records. We do not keep a copy on our servers. |
| Google account basics: your name, email address, profile picture and Google account ID | Received from Google when you sign in. Your account ID is used as a key on our servers. | To sign you in and show who is signed in. |
| A Google Drive access token (a "refresh token") | On our servers (Cloudflare), linked to your Google account ID. | So your records can back up to your Drive without asking you to sign in again each time. |
| Pill bottle photos you choose to scan | Sent to our server and processed by an AI model run by Cloudflare. Not stored. | To read the label and fill in the medicine form for you to check. |
| A daily scan count | On our servers, linked to your Google account ID, deleted automatically within about 36 hours. | To apply the daily scan limit. |
| Early access requests: your email address and the time you asked | On our servers (Cloudflare). | To send your invitation and launch news. |
| Settings such as text size and region | On your device only. | To remember how you like the app to look. |
| Technical information such as IP address and browser type | Processed by our hosting provider, Cloudflare, as part of serving and protecting the Service. | Security, abuse prevention (for example, limiting repeated signups) and keeping the Service running. |
We do not use cookies for advertising or tracking. The Service uses your browser's local storage to keep your records and settings on your device, and Google may set its own cookies when you sign in with Google.
3. How we use information
- To provide the Service: sign you in, show your records, back them up to your Drive and read scanned labels.
- To keep the Service secure and prevent abuse.
- To reply when you contact us, and to send early access invitations and important notices about the Service.
- To meet legal obligations.
We do not use your health information for advertising, we do not build profiles about you, and we do not use your records or scanned photos to train AI models.
4. Who we share information with
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We use a small number of service providers who process information on our behalf, only to run the Service:
- Google, for sign-in and for storing your records in your own Google Drive. Google's own privacy policy applies to your Google account.
- Cloudflare, for hosting the website and app, running our server code, storing the limited data described above, and running the AI model that reads scanned labels.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of users or others, or as part of a merger or sale of the business, in which case this policy will continue to apply to your information.
5. Google user data
Meds2Take asks Google only for the permissions it needs: your basic profile and email address to sign you in, and access to a private app folder in your Google Drive (the "drive.appdata" permission). Meds2Take cannot see or change any of your other Drive files.
Meds2Take's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use this information only to provide and improve the features you use in Meds2Take, we do not transfer it to others except as needed to provide the Service, for security, or as required by law, and we do not use it for advertising.
6. Keeping and deleting information
- Your medicine records stay in your Google Drive until you delete them. To delete them, open Google Drive settings, choose Manage apps, find Meds2Take and choose to delete its hidden app data. The working copy on your device is removed when you sign out and clear the site's data, or uninstall the app.
- Drive access can be removed at any time from your Google Account under Security, Third-party connections. We delete the stored refresh token when you ask us, and it stops working as soon as you remove access.
- Scanned photos are not kept. Scan counts expire automatically within about 36 hours.
- Early access emails are kept until the Service launches publicly or until you ask us to remove yours, whichever comes first.
7. Your choices and rights
You can use Meds2Take without connecting Google Drive, choose not to scan labels, and print or save your records at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or get a copy of your personal information, and to withdraw consent. To make a request, write to us at the address below. We will not treat you differently for using your rights.
Security
Information sent between your device, our servers and Google is encrypted in transit. We keep the data on our servers to a minimum and limit who can access it. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your Google account protected with a strong password and two-step verification. If a breach affecting your information occurs, we will notify you and the authorities as the law requires.
Children
The Service is meant for adults. Parents and guardians may use it to track medicines for their children. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Where information is processed
We are based in the United States. Our providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.
New features and changes to this policy
Before we launch a feature that changes how information is handled, such as reminders or asking a family member for help, we will update this policy. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. The date at the top shows when this policy last changed.
